preeminent source for beer industry statistical data. Their purpose is "to promote and protect American craft beer and
American craft brewers and the community of brewing enthusiasts."
The BJCP: Founded in 1985, the Beer Judge Certification Program serves as America's gold standard of certifications for
beer judges. Anytime you see a "Gold Medal" awarded to a brewer at a major competition, it was selected by a panel of
judges who have matriculated in this program. About 3,000 people in America have passed the rigorous test to join the elite
team of BJCP Certified Judges. The purpose of this organization is "to promote beer literacy and the appreciation of real
beer, and to recognize beer tasting and evaluation skills."
CAMRA: The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) was launched in the U.K. in 1971. Today, CAMRA has over 84,000

in its serving vessel (cask ale and cask conditioned bottled beer) is experiencing a startling rennaissance in certain parts of the
United States, thanks largely to the support of groups such as CAMRA.

North America.

about hundreds of interesting craft beers, the BSAT to test your beer knowledge, and a comprehensive "beer finder" to
locate a store or restaurant in your area carrying a unique craft beer.

beer among over 2 million unique visitors per month. The purpose of the site is reflected through their motto: "respect
beer."

commercially produced. RateBeer, founded in May, 2000 by Bill Buchanan, has become the premiere source for consumer
driven beer ratings.
